Our Student Representative Council (SRC) in partnership with Halal Food Bank – Melbourne are collecting non-perishable food items for recently arrived Palestinian families in Melbourne.
We are collecting the following non-perishable food items by THIS WEDNESDAY, 6 December:
- Red or brown lentils
- Foul (fava/broad beans)
- Olives
- Zaatar
- Tomato paste
- Olive oil
- Spices (cumin, coriander, cinnamon, chilli)
- Rice 2 kg
- Cooking Oil 750 ml
- Salt 1 kg
- Sugar 1 kg
- Flour 1 kg
- Pasta 1 kg
- Canned Tuna 400 g
- Canned Legumes/ fruit/ vegetables 800g
- Biscuits 250 g
- Pasta sauce 600 g
- Tea.
The items will be delivered and packed on 7th December by our Year 8 & Year 9 Leap girls, who will be attending Halal Food Bank on Thursday as part of our Values-In-Action Program.
You can deliver the items at the front guard house from 7.45am or main reception during school hours from 8am to 4:30pm by this Wednesday, 6th December 2023.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept monetary donations. Items need to be delivered to Halal Food Bank on Thursday, and we are unable to shop on behalf of donors.
