Last week, our second group of girls went out to meet with our Mayor of Whittlesea as a part of the "Walk With The Mayor" program. They shared in a High Tea at City of Whittlesea’s Great Hall in celebration of International Women’s Day.
Senior students Mariam Jawad, Hafsa Sarwar and Medina Makram from Year 11 all got an opportunity to do a tour with the Mayor and had plenty of time to ask questions about her roles and responsibilities as Mayor of Whittlesea Council.
We hope to inspire our youth through these initiatives and in the future hope to develop their skills as spokespeople for our community, and look forward to being involved in many more future programs like this as a part of engaging our students in environments that will inspire them about the various opportunities available to them.
