The Student Representative Council (SRC) and our Year 12 cohort organized a Cultural Hi-Tea event for Year 12 students and Secondary staff prior to the commencement of Ramadan. The event aimed to celebrate the diversity of cultures within the school community and promote intercultural understanding and appreciation.
The atmosphere was vibrant as both staff and our Senior students dressed up in their cultural attire and brought a plate of traditional foods to share with each other. The event was hosted by College Captains Zainab and Osama who spoke about the significance of Cultural Day and its importance in promoting diversity and inclusivity. A quiz was organized, engaging everyone in an interactive and fun-filled activity that tested their knowledge about different cultures. Harun, a student representative leader, gave a presentation about Cultural Day in Islam, sharing insights about customs, traditions, and values associated with the Islamic culture.
