In the final week of Term 3, our Year 6 students enjoyed an exciting excursion to Sea Life Melbourne, combining their Science and English studies. The focus of the day was animal adaptation, where students observed how marine creatures survive in extreme environments across Australia and beyond.
The visit included a guided tour led by Sea Life鈥檚 Education team, followed by a one-hour lesson on adaptation. Students were able to see various species up close, engaging in discussions on how animals have evolved to suit their environments.
This immersive experience also supported their English studies, as students gathered observations for writing informative and explanatory texts. After a productive session, the students enjoyed a lunch and prayer break, reflecting on the day鈥檚 discoveries.
The excursion offered a hands-on learning opportunity, leaving our Year 6 students with a deeper understanding of adaptation and a memorable end to the term.
