Our Year 2鈥檚 are using Bee-Bots in Technology to learn location in Maths. A Bee-Bot is an exciting programmable floor robot perfect for Lower Primary students with its child friendly layout to teach control, directional language and programming.
Students explored the functions of the robots, created and planned tasks for the Bee-Bots ,and followed and described algorithms involving a sequence of steps, branching and iteration.
They were also given an additional surprise to work with Edison robots, upscaling their knowledge by learning about sensors and how robots use them in the real world.
The incursion ended with our Year 2 students having a mini robo-sumo competition, using simple programming. What a fun way to end the year!
