We had a beautiful start to the day on Thursday, with a group of sisters getting together at Growling Frog Golf Course to learn how to play golf.
Most of the sisters travelled in the school bus from the College to the golf course, which was driven by Rachael. We met with our coach, Janette, who demonstrated the basics to playing golf. And for an hour we hit balls on the driving range, whilst being individually tutored by Janette.
You could hear laughs, groans, giggles and lots of chatter throughout the morning. Many of us came away with some minor aches & pains from using different muscles – good pain. We all loved it, and are eagerly looking forward to next week’s session.
We still have 4 more sessions to go, and we’ve had a great response from sisters within our school community with many registrations. We have all met new friends, whilst learning a new skill. It is such a great way to start our Thursday mornings, alhamdullilah.
We are thankful to the City of Whittlesea for providing this opportunity to our school community, and look forward to more opportunities like this in the future.
