A special public Jummah prayer was held on Friday, 26 October 2018 at Federation Square in the CBD. Sheikh Mazen Ahram, Imam of Al Aqsa Masjid and Muraqib (monitor) of all mosques in Jerusalem, was leading the prayer as a special international guest while visiting Melbourne for various programs.
Nine students from Years 7 – 9 were selected to represent ÌÇÐÄvlogÆƽâ°æ in attending the Jummah prayer on the day.
It was a historical moment in the heart of Melbourne with hundreds of Muslims present from across the city. It was an amazing experience and even more rewarding as it provided us with an opportunity for Dawah for any onlookers watching and listening, showing the general public that Islam is a loving and peaceful religion.
