Last week, our Religion Department teachers discussed with the students “Steps taken during Hajj”. To create a Hajj simulation and environment, students were asked to dress in Ihram.
Hajj is a journey that has to take place specifically from the 8th until the 13th of Dhul Hijjah (the last month in the Islamic calendar). Students recapped the story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) through online sessions. They did some nice work to recall the Hajj rituals and shared their knowledge, love and enthusiasm for these blessed days of the year through some project work.
Hajj is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, alongside Shahadah, Salat, Zakat and Sawm. The Hajj is a demonstration of the solidarity of the Muslim people, and their submission to Allah (SWT).
