Focus of the Week: SEQTA Parent

SEQTA Parent is a very useful tool for parents, and is easy to access and use.
In SEQTA Parent, you can access your child’s timetable, email their teacher directly, access school reports, and more.

These are the steps to gain access to SEQTA Parent, and at the bottom are photos showing you step-by-step:

  • From our school website, click the drop-down button "Our sites..."
  • Click on SEQTA Parent
  • Sign in using your parent email on record with the school
  • You will be presented with the opening page which reads "Welcome to SEQTA Engage!"
  • Along the left side you will see various tabs. Feel free to explore the tabs. More details about the tabs is shown below.

See below for more information regarding each tab along the left:

  • Courses: This tab shows all the classes your child will undertake this year, and previous years subjects are below, segmented into each year. If you have more than 1 child at the school, you will need to select which child and then proceed.
  • Documents: Some of the important documents relating to our school can be accessed via this tab, including CANVAS information and training links.
  • Notices: Some teachers and school leaders will update the notices section, which is handy to keep an eye on for information relating to your child/ren.
  • Reports: This is where you will find all end-of-semester reports for your child/ren. Click on your child’s name, and then click on the report you wish to open.
  • Timetable: You will find your child’s/children’s school timetable here. It shows what classes they have each day, who the teacher is, and what classroom the class is in. Select different children along the top, drop-down.

If you wish to email any of your child’s teachers, follow these steps:

  • In the timetable section of SEQTA Parent, click on the subject the teacher teaches.
  • The subject will pop out, with details showing in large font.
  • You will see an envelope symbol – click this symbol.
  • An new email will come up in another screen, and the teacher’s email address will appear in the "Bcc" section. Feel free to cut from "Bcc" and copy in "To" section.
  • Write your email and send, as you normally would. The email will be sent to the teacher, inShaAllah.

When finished, it is advisable to log out. At the very bottom of the tabs, there is a symbol which resembles a door open with a red arrow. Click this symbol and you will be automatically logged out.

You can also download the SEQTA Engage app on your smart phone – this will give you access to SEQTA Parent. This is very handy to access details when on the go.
