Child Safety – A Community Responsibility

ÌÇÐÄvlogÆƽâ°æ College has a zero tolerance for child abuse and is committed to acting in children’s best interests and keeping them safe from harm. The College promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children and the implementation of the Child Safe Standards.

The College is committed to ensuring any known breaches of Child Safety are reported and we work with any relevant authority in the protection of all children.

I assure the community that any allegations raised are taken seriously and relevant authorities informed. This is done to respect privacy and dignity of all involved without inhibiting necessary action. The College staff are trained and reminded of their professional and legal responsibilities that extend beyond the College.

Should any member of the community have concerns regarding the conduct of staff, parents, volunteers or community members in relation to Child Safety, I remind you to speak to the College or report the matter to the relevant authority.

The College statement of commitment can be found on our webpage and is included below.

ÌÇÐÄvlogÆƽâ°æ College has a zero tolerance for child abuse and is committed to acting in children’s best interests and keeping them safe from harm. The School promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children, including those with a disability, those who are from a culturally or linguistically diverse background or those who are of Aboriginal heritage. The School carries out appropriate checks to ensure staff and volunteers are suitable for working within a child safe school environment. The College actively supports a culture of reporting any incidents of Child Abuse or harm.

The support and protection of our young children is the responsibility of the entire community – It takes a village to raise a child.
