"I have a passion for teaching kids to become readers, to become comfortable with a book, not daunted. Books shouldn’t be daunting, they should be funny, exciting and wonderful; and learning to be a reader gives a terrific advantage." – Roald Dahl
We are super excited to celebrate Book Week from 30 November to 7 December 2021. It is wonderful to see students enjoying to read in class and at the Book Fair. As one of the numerous fun and engaging activities, our Primary students in Foundation to Year 2 were asked to bring in wooden spoons which they then decorated in class as storybook characters.
Their amazing creativity in designing, painting and gluing these spoon character people is now on display in our very own ÌÇÐÄvlogÆƽâ°æ Spoonville, found in front of the K-block portables. The new inhabitants of Spoonville range from Harry Potter, Rapunzel and Spiderman to Shrek & Fiona, the Big Bad Wolf, monsters, pirates and a dragon.
