SUMMARY:Selected Year 6 & 8 Students: Parliament House Excursion
DESCRIPTION:This excursion will provide students with a real-world experience in civic engagement and active citizenship, aligning with their learning on democratic processes, government decision-making, and community advocacy. Students will be welcomed by MP Bronwyn Halfpenny's staff, given a talk, and possibly taken on a tour of Parliament House. Students will then be invited into the chamber to witness and participate in the formal handover of the Wollert incinerator petition to Bronwyn Halfpenny while the MPs are in session.
